  • Exams

Whether it’s your first visit, a routine recall, or a dental emergency, our team provides a thorough evaluation. Our comprehensive exams screen for cavities, gingivitis, periodontal (gum) disease, fractures, oral cancer, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, and many other issues. We are happy to see patients of all ages and recommend the first dental appointment before baby’s first birthday.

  • Cleanings

Various types of dental cleanings depend upon on the health of your teeth, gums, and supporting bone. Hemphill Dental will work with you to evaluate and determine the best treatment to keep your teeth free from sticky plaque and hard calculus.

  • Radiographs

Our exams evaluate beyond what is visible to the eye. Radiographs determine the presence of cavities, calculus, and infection. Panoramic radiographs evaluate wisdom teeth, jaw joints and other supporting structures.

Restorative Care

No two teeth are alike and when a problem arises, our team will work with you to find the best solution to restore comfort, form, and function.

  • Fillings

The Hemphill Dental team is equipped to provide beautiful restorations. We offer both resin (tooth-colored) and amalgam (silver) fillings, and we customize your resin fillings to mimic the layers in natural tooth structure.

  • Sealants

Sealants help prevent the formation of cavities and are an efficient and effective way to keep susceptible teeth healthy.

  • Crowns

Crowns are placed upon teeth that are broken, stained, worn, or misaligned. Crowns may be made from many different types of materials. Hemphill Dental is up-to-date on the strongest (and best-looking) materials used to fabricate these restorations.

  • Bridges

Bridges are a cemented restoration to replace a missing tooth or teeth. Like crowns, bridges can be made from many different types of materials.

  • Implants

Implants are a permanent solution for missing teeth and function like natural teeth. We work in conjunction with local oral surgery specialists to surgically place the implant and then fabricate the final abutment and crown.

  • Full and Partial Dentures

Removable appliances are a great option for patients to replace multiple missing teeth. And with the evolution of digital dentistry and guided surgery, there are many options. Our practice will spend time with you and answer all your questions to determine which type of appliance best fits your needs.

  • Extractions

Sometimes, removal of the tooth is the best option. Hemphill Dental is equipped to help remove troublesome teeth as comfortably as possible.

  • Root Canals

When a tooth becomes infected, or abscessed, a root canal is recommended to remove the diseased tissue (pulp) from the root of the tooth, while retaining the hard outer layers (enamel and dentin). Oftentimes, for strength, a tooth that needs a root canal will also require a crown.

Cosmetic Treatments

Dentistry is both an art and a science. Want to improve the look of your smile? Hemphill Dental will work with you to achieve your cosmetic dentistry goals.

  • Whitening

Whitening is an effective and conservative way to improve the appearance of your smile without the use of bonded dental materials.

  • Veneers

Veneers are bonded restorations used to change the color and shape of teeth, fix cracks, or close gaps. They can be lab fabricated (porcelain) or performed chairside (resin). Both options offer excellent durability and can be customized to offer outstanding results.

FAQs

  • Do you take insurance?

Yes! Whether we are contracted with your insurance or not, you may utilize your dental benefits at Hemphill Dental. Even when going ‘out of network’, patients find their insurance often covers a portion of treatment.

Being an unrestricted provider allows us to spend more time with each patient, use higher quality materials, and deliver an outstanding experience.

  • How much will my dental treatment cost?

Many factors determine the best treatment for your dental needs. Whether you need a routine cleaning or a full mouth rehabilitation, we will spend time with you and discuss your treatment options, arriving at a plan with which you can be confident.

  • I’m nervous at the dentist. How can you help ease my fears?

We understand the dental office can be an intimidating place. At Hemphill Dental, we offer options to reduce your anxiety like nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral conscious sedation.

  • Do I really need to brush twice a day?

Yes! Brushing and flossing daily removes the sticky plaque and delivers fluoride to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

  • If I brush twice a day, why do I need to get my teeth cleaned?

Over time, hard calculus (tartar) accumulates on teeth and cannot be removed with your toothbrush, alone. Routine cleanings, x-rays, and exams allow us to keep your teeth and gums healthy and catch other potential issues early.

  • How early should I bring my child to the dentist?

Within the first year! It is important to bring baby to the dentist within six months of the eruption of the first tooth or before their first birthday. This ‘well-baby’ visit is important both to help baby learn to love the dentist and to educate parents about good oral hygiene.

  • Why should I bring my family to Hemphill Dental?

We are here for your family! Doctors Jason and Claire Hemphill graduated co-first in their dental school class and have been practicing general dentistry for a combined total of twenty years. The Hemphill Dental team is dedicated to the dental profession, continuing education, and delivering excellent care with compassion. We are honored that you and your family would trust us with your dental health. Come see why we are more than just a good-looking smile!

Let’s make sure you have a healthy smile
